Events

I absolutely love doing school visits, library events and book signings. I have lessons plans for Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 but I also love to talk to teenagers and adults about picture books. My interactive events can be done virtually or in-person.

I also do book themed children’s parties.

My children’s events typically include a drawalong, reading, a bit of singing and a craft activity themed around the book you choose to focus on.

Feedback from school visits:

The way you spoke with our young people was really good as you were on their level, they could sense how enthusiastic you are about picture books and that made them more enthusiastic. It was obvious that you know a great deal about them they liked all having the time to look at different types of books and share their opinions.  I don’t think any of us fully appreciated the range of picture books out there and the different styles they are!” Pupil Referral Unit, Year 8-11.

The children were buzzing, you’ve clearly made a huge impact!” State primary, Surrey.

“An amazing day! Wonderful to be able to involve the whole school, right down to Early Years” World Book Day visit, independent prep, Berkshire.

Picture books are for everyone, not just children. I love to share my love for them with adult groups too! I’m a registered WI speaker and also talk to U3A groups about picture books and children’s publishing. If you’d like me to come and share some picture book love with your group or book club then get in touch via the contact page.
